The Ingersoll Rand 54672530 air filter element is a genuine intake filter for N55 and N75 screw air compressors. Its high-efficiency synthetic fiberglass media captures dust and particulate before it reaches the rotor, bearings, and oil seals, helping to protect the airend and extend compressor service life.
This large cylindrical pleated element measures approximately 247 mm outside diameter and 365 mm overall height, with a red polyurethane end-cap seal. It is a direct replacement for HiFi Filter SA17281 and is also compatible with several Atlas Copco part numbers. Installation and Maintenance
Replace the element every 4,000 hours or 8–12 months, whichever comes first, or every 2,000–3,000 hours in dusty conditions. Inspect visually for blackened or heavily loaded media, and replace immediately if the pressure differential reaches 900 Pa.
- Shut down and lock out the compressor main power (LOTO); confirm the unit has fully stopped.
- Release the filter housing bolts or latches and remove the cover.
- Pull out the old 54672530 element and check that the old seal is not left in the housing groove.
- Wipe the housing interior and sealing surface clean with a lint-free cloth.
- Verify the new element: part number 54672530, media free of damage, end caps intact, red seal not aged or cracked.
- Insert the new element vertically into the housing center, ensuring both top and bottom seals seat correctly without misalignment.
- Refit the cover and tighten bolts or latches evenly.
- Start the compressor and listen for any air leakage at the filter housing.
